I am so happy to be joining my fellow bloggers for a Christmas Home tour! Be sure to click on their links at the bottom of my post for more inspiration!
Christmas is such a fun time to decorate! You can either go all out, simple, or somewhere in between! I’m sentimental, so my decor consists of a lot of vintage items that remind me of my grandparent’s house. (and the older I get, I find more and more items that I used to have that are now considered “vintage” haha) Today I am sharing my kitchen all decked out for the holidays. We recently took some of our upper cabinet doors off, and I am loving it! This has allowed me to display some of my pretty dishes, and is a perfect spot for decor! I decorate with soft colours throughout the rest of the house (pinks and creams) but in the kitchen, I pull out the red and green.
The kitchen shelves were the perfect place to display some of my putz houses and vintage ornaments! I will start by sharing my wooden shelves that hold our every day dishes.

Under my wooden shelves, I put a couple of our favourite hot chocolate flavours. I found pink candy canes to display in the little pitcher on the top shelf. These Christmas mugs were perfect! They have a lady in a pink fuzzy coat, pulling a sled with a kitty and a tree!!! I think they were made for me! My kettle didn’t start out pink..you can head here to see how I painted it! And the plant on the counter isn’t dying, it’s a geranium I brought in from outside to over winter…haha…it’s actually doing well!

My Merry Christmas sign was painted by my daughter for me last year. It fits perfectly on my top shelf!

On the other side of the sink are my cupboards with the doors removed. My baking supplies are handy, and labeled using these labels which I love! I tucked my houses in among my dishes, and filled a jar with vintage ornaments. I decorate one shelf at a time, stand back, and see where I need to add a little more colour to balance everything out. I knew I wanted something Christmas on each shelf except the one that holds my baking ingredients.

These little Santa mugs were from the dollar store last year. I think they look so cute nestled on my stack of platters!

I am fortunate to have cupboards where I can store my “not so pretty” kitchen essentials!

A mix of both vintage, and new Christmas items, fill the shelves. I have enjoyed having these shelves all decorated! I hope this inspires you to add some Christmas decor to your kitchen!
