There isn’t any green grass yet, and certainly no flowers in bloom, but that doesn’t stop me from decorating the porch for Spring. In Southern Ontario, our winters seem so long, so as soon as the days get a little longer in March, and the sun is out…its time!
I keep my vintage wicker chair on the porch all winter long and into Spring. We don’t sit on it…its a little rickety…so it’s perfect for adding that welcoming touch beside the door. (the old cushion used to be orange, a couple coats of pink paint fixed that! Its a little hard and crunchy…but remember it isn’t to sit on!) The topiary is faux, it’s way too early for real plants to survive the freezing temperatures we are still getting. Watering cans are a sure sign of Spring and Summer to come! So I tucked some Spring faux flowers in mine.

On the other side of the door, I thought I would use my chippy bench that I scored from an online auction a couple weeks ago for $27!!! (I just love a good deal) My pink boots have holes in them, so I can’t wear them anymore…so they are a staple in my outdoor decor!!!

Baskets add a nice texture, and I filled this big one with faux flowers from Michaels stores. The little wire shelf has some faux plants from Ikea. (I love my little shelf, but it may be time to change it up and take it down..stay tuned! haha)

I can’t wait to haul out the daybed, porch swing, etc…..but for now adding these little touches will do! Enjoy decorating your porch for spring, and thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful!! Can’t wait to have a cup of tea on that lovely porch swing 😊😘

It looks springy and quite inviting! Every porch needs an old, crunchy wicker chair…just for show.

Your porch is beautiful!! Would love to see pics of the hydrangeas. I have been trying to grow them for 5 years and not having good luck! I’m in northern Minnesota. Any tips?
Hi Lisa! Thank you for your kind comment! I am in garden zone 6b I will definitely do posts on the hydrangeas when they start to bloom! All around the porch, we have Annabelle and Incrediball varieties. They are super hearty! I seriously don’t do a whole lot to them, other then clean up any dead branches in the spring. In the back garden, I have Limelight ones, which are easy peasey as well! But stay tuned!
Looking forward to seeing them!
