This is the second year decorating the potting shed for Christmas! If you missed last years, head to this post. This year, I focused on my new electric fireplace. Our son in law wired my shed for electricity this fall, so I couldn’t wait to add this. This was more for looks than anything else…the shed isn’t winterized.
I wanted it to look like a little cozy cottage, as soon as you open the door. I’m sure you are all familiar with the Christmas cartoon, Frosty the Snowman…well, I have always loved the little greenhouse that Frosty sheltered Karen in…that’s my vision..haha
We didn’t have any snow to make the outside look cozy, when I took this pic, but the winter is just getting started….snow will arrive soon.
I didn’t want to fill my window boxes with dirt, so I stuffed a faux garland inside each one. Then I poked real cedar, cut from our hedge in it. It will keep the clippings nice and secure, and I will have easy clean up!
At the base of the tree is my vintage sled with a wooden church on it. My daughter’s old skates, and some vintage greenery from a thrift store, complete the vignette!
And of course each one of the kitties love the shed!
I have so much fun decorating my little shed, and it looks so cozy at night with the lights all aglow! As always, I appreciate you so much for stopping by! Happy Decorating!
