Decorating the mantel for Spring

One place I love to decorate is my mantel. If you don’t have a mantel, any shelf will do! The majority of items I used on this year’s Spring mantel are from the thrift store, the dollar store, or vintage. I have had the old headboard, that I painted white, on top of the fireplace for quite awhile. It adds such a nice textural background to all my changing decor.

Then I layered on a couple mirrors. The dark one is vintage, and the pink one I found in a thrift store for $5.00! Yes please!! Milk glass is a nice way to bring in some more texture. It’s fresh and Spring-like!

All of my bunnies came from the Dollar Store a couple of years ago. They remind me of the vintage ones that my Grandma had. My egg cup is vintage, and the little hummingbird nest that we found on the ground fits perfectly in it! The “eggs” are egg candies that are for decoration only! (I have reused them many years)

I love to collect vintage postcards. I’m drawn to the beautiful graphics, and they aren’t that expensive. This year, I was thrilled to find the wire holder to display them!

I hope this gives you some ideas to decorate your own mantel! Thank you for stopping by!
