How is everyone? It’s been quite some time since I posted, but goodness,we are living in crazy times! I am so thankful that we are safe and healthy. I have been baking WAY too much, and I’m not a baker..haha..

I thought I would share my bedroom wall treatment that I did this past January. All it requires is a wall, and a pencil!! We are in the middle of a real hot and dry period of summer right now, and this is a good project for when you are inside, with the ac on. (or just want an indoor, easy project)

Our bedroom is pretty tiny, and I wanted to give it a real “cottage” look. We have wainscoting in our dining room, that my hubby installed. One Saturday I decided that I would love to have that on our bedroom walls. (I didn’t want the expense…but wanted the look) So I grabbed a pencil and a 2 x 4 and got to work.

I began in a corner that you don’t see when you first walk into the room. (in case I messed up) All I did was draw a pencil line on the wall, using the board as my guide…working around the entire room. ( Use a pencil that isn’t too sharp…the lines are darker then.)
Always a helper by my side working under the window
As I got closer to a corner, I spaced the lines a little wider or slimmer, just slightly, so that I didn’t end up with a small one inch “board” in the corner. That’s it!!!

I just LOVE how it turned out!!! I am someone that likes to change things up, and I’m not very patient, so this project was perfect! I will be working on a Summer Porch post, and I will be sharing that soon!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Haha Thanks Sheila! It actually didn’t take that long! (way quicker than if I waited for Gerald to install wainscoting hehe)
